Current Vacancies (updated 17 March 2025)

We have the following current roles available at Samuels Solicitors LLP in Devon, for lawyers with a minimum of 3 years PQE, or equivalent:

• Property Litigation Solicitor - dealing with all aspects of property disputes, including boundary disputes and other disputes between neighbours, claims involving defective building work, adverse possession claims, and disputes between landlords and tenants

• Commercial Litigation Solicitor - dealing with commercial disputes, including disputes between partners and shareholders, claims in the fast track, intermediate track, and multi track, professional negligence disputes, contract disputes and debt claims.

• Contentious Probate Solicitor - dealing with claims about wills and inheritance, including claims involving capacity, undue influence and duress, Inheritance Act claims and intestacy.

• Private Client Solicitor - drafting wills and powers of attorney, creating and administering trusts, dealing with probate, and dealing with tax planning issues. 

We are happy to hear from candidates who are looking for full or part time roles, as well as hybrid home and office working, after the completion of suitable probationary periods.

Training Contracts

Training contracts for solicitors in Devon: We do periodically offer training contracts to high calibre candidates, who wish to ultimately specialise in the areas of work that we undertake. If you have finished your studies and you are looking for a training contract, please do get in touch with your CV. 

Alternatively, if you have already got your law degree and you are looking to work at the same time as completing your final year of study, we may be able to accommodate the right candidate.

Secretarial & Support Staff

We have a highly skilled team of secretarial and support staff who are very important to the smooth running of our firm. We offer extremely competitive rates of pay, flexible working hours, a discretionary Christmas bonus, Christmas office closure, which is not deducted from your yearly annual leave allowance, and extensive in-house training.

We have several members of our fee earning staff who started off in a support role, who have undertaken further training and qualifications, supported by the firm, to progress their careers.
