Jimmy Hayes

Jimmy qualified as a Solicitor in Ireland in 2013 and started his career as a general practitioner in a small family firm dealing with a broad range of matter including probate, litigation, property and family law. He was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales in 2016 and then moved to Devon to take up a position as a Property Lawyer with a large firm in the South West.

Jimmy joined Samuels in 2020 and now works remotely from his office in Spain while being supported by his assistant, Sally, in Kingsbridge. Remote working is becoming the ‘new norm’ and since joining the firm Jimmy has demonstrated that this can be done very effectively on a full-time basis.

Jimmy deals with a broad range of property related matters. In addition to residential sales, purchases, and mortgages, he deals with agricultural and bare land, overage agreements, and complicated Transfers of Part. Jimmy also has experience dealing with equity release mortgages and lease extensions. 

Jimmy is an amateur mechanic and Land Rover enthusiast. He has undertaken several overland trips in recent years to Morocco and Arctic Norway, and hopes to get out and explore the world again with his young family when the opportunity allows.
