Excellence in Legal Practice Awarded at Samuels Solicitors

Following an annual assessment, Samuels Solicitors LLP has once again retained our accreditation with the Law Society's Lexcel Standard, the legal practice quality mark which is only awarded to the most reputable and high quality law firms.

A Lexcel audit, which precedes the award being made, particularly focuses on all aspects of client care and holds firms to account on the services we are providing.

The independent assessment took place over two days covering our branches in Barnstaple and Kingsbridge and involved a complete examination of all of the firm’s internal policies and procedures. Several interviews with staff both old and new were undertaken.

Key highlights of Lexcel's report was high praise given to our own internal systems and practices, designed to support our staff with engaging with the firm's deliverance of a high quality legal service. This shows that not only do we have procedures in place but that all staff understand and follow them.

As in previous years the Lexcel auditor made particular reference to the firm's “supportive of learning and development” principles in the multiple examples of our staff progression throughout the firm. We see the benefit of this program on a daily basis, with staff who joined as office juniors now working as qualified solicitors within the firm, and others following closely behind them.
